Maryam Nawaz announces a comprehensive package to provide relief to people of Punjab during global economic crisis
LAHORE: Major relief measures have been started in Punjab in pursuance of implementation of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif national saving and austerity program.
Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has announced a comprehensive package to provide relief to people of province during international economic crisis.
CM Punjab while announcing relief of free travelling in Public transport for the people in all major cities of Punjab has said the citizens will not need to buy ticket while travelling in Orange Metro train, Metro bus, Speedo bus and green electric bus.
Maryam Nawaz announced special measures for protection of agriculture and farming community.
As per these measures the farmers will be given subsidy of Rs 100 per liter diesel per acre so that agriculture cost could be curtailed.
Likewise special subsidy program has been introduced for motorcyclists.
Under this program subsidy amounting to Rs 100 on every 20 liter petrol will be provided to every citizen having motorcycle.
Paying tribute to PM Shehbaz Sharif for maintaining prices and supply of petroleum products for one month Maryam Nawaz said PM has made a sincere effort to save the people from hardships by providing relief of billion of rupees.
She said people will not be left alone in hard time. People will be relieved of financial burden as soon as situation improves.
She appealed to citizens to use public transport instead of personal vehicles in the prevailing extraordinary situation so that saving of fuel could become possible.
